Northampton, MA – Myers, a respected developer in broadcast management software, has announced the development and implementation of a shared operational facility for Twin Cities Public Television (TPT), based in St. Paul MN, to deliver programming and trafficking services to WYCC PBS Chicago. The newly established environment, which will be managed and supported by Myers’ ProTrack software, serves as the backbone of TPT’s innovative Joint Master Control facility, and will enable WYCC to capitalize on TPT’s centralized programming, traffic and master control operations as a means to improve operations while containing operating expenses.
This multi-station project, the second such Joint Master Control project for TPT, significantly expands capabilities of existing workflows, while maintaining station independent sales and content management processes. Each station will be able to leverage a unified ProTrack database that supports centralized metadata, content library management, and shared master control services. Additionally, integration will be provided with real-time and non-real-time content acquisition systems, as well as automation, PSIP, and archive management. Furthermore, ProTrack will facilitate program scheduling and sharing across channels and station groups while simultaneously enabling Twin Cities Public Television to manage Programming and Trafficking services seamlessly for WYCC.
